Technolica, Inc. ("we", "our", "us") operates The Ringer AI application (macOS and iOS) and the companion website at theringerapp.com. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Audio Files: When you import a song for stem separation, the audio file is uploaded to our cloud processing server. The file is used solely for AI stem separation and is automatically deleted from our server after processing is complete (typically within 1 hour).
AI Lookup Data: When you use the AI BPM/key lookup feature, song titles and artist names are sent to the Anthropic Claude API to retrieve musical metadata. No audio is sent for this feature.
Companion Sessions: When you use Share Online, a temporary session is created on our relay server. Session data includes song titles, BPM, bar position, and beat timing. No audio content is transmitted through the relay. Sessions are automatically deleted when ended or after 24 hours of inactivity.
Local Data: Songs, stems, mixer settings, setlists, effects chains, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not access, collect, or transmit this data.
Anthropic Claude API: Used for AI-powered song metadata lookup. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store: Subscription management and payments are handled by Apple. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Audio files uploaded for processing are transmitted over HTTPS and stored temporarily on our AWS EC2 server. Files are automatically deleted after processing. We do not retain copies of your audio files.
All local app data (songs, stems, settings) is stored on your device and is not accessible to us.
The Ringer AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
